NEW BAHS Chapter in La Salina Baja!
Blues Against Hunger Society (BAHS) is opening a new chapter in La Salina adding to the other chapters around northern Baja including Rosarito, San Felipe and Punta Banda. BAHS organizes musical food drive Jamborees for the primary purpose of raising money and collecting food to help eliminate hunger in their communities.
The La Salina Chapter will be hosting the BAHS Jamborees every Saturday from 3-6PM at the La Salina Hotel and Cantina at K72 on Highway 1. The venue is outdoors next to the beach with easy on and off freeway access and ample free parking. The weekly Jamboree concerts feature top regional artists and bands, and welcomes musicians of all levels to join in on the jam. The events are free and attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable food donations. Additionally the La Salina Chapter will be the host of the second annual BAHS Feedback Festival on Saturday - August 7, 2021.
John Larsen, BAHS International board member, is heading the new chapter along with treasurer Victoria Vine, secretary Deb Bowen, fund-raising chairs Ellie Dishaw, Diane Becker, and marketing chair Annette Houston. This new La Salina Chapter will provide support to the La Mision Food Bank, Helping Hands, and Ursulo Galvan Ejido.
