Gino is a World Class performer and fan of the Blues and Blues-oriented music. Called “Don Gino” by his friends, he has backed many international headline acts, including John Lee Hooker [who coined the moniker “Blues Don”], Red Archibald, Jimmy Witherspoon, J.J. Malone, Ike Turner, and has shared the stage with many San Francisco Bay Area and National Blues acts, including; Cool Papa, Frankie Lee, Birdlegg, Willie G., Jackie Paine, Nat Bolden, SuMac, Nate Holmes, Fillmore Slim, Jimmy McCracklin, Alvin Draper and Chicago greats; PineTop Perkins, Willie Smith, Billy Branch, Lurie Bell, Francis Clay and Hubert Sumlin.

Co-founder of the internationally known "Blues Barons" band [with Nate Holmes], Gino is a Blues veteran from the Bay Area, currently in Los Angeles. He is an authentic Blues player and singer [some call him a crooner]. His guitar playing is heavily influenced by the late Freddy King, but there are nuances of many other Blues guitar greats as well. Gino is a stylist and resists copying anyone. He prides himself on having his own unique sound. Now fronting his own band, Gino chooses songs that compliment his baritone voice, reminiscent of Joe Williams or Johnny Cash, rather than big voiced Blues singers. He brings to the stage an exciting, sophisticated, knowledgeable and modern approach to the genre, without losing its tradition. Give a listen to the Blues Don. He’ll play you “Blues You Can’t Refuse”, © 2014, Blues Don Music.
