Jamboree Update: San Felipe Sunday April 4 - 614 pounds

BAHS has a NEW CHAPTER and JAMBOREE in La Salina / La Mision Baja California

  BAHS could not be more excited. La Salina / La Mision have official created their own board and are kicking off their new chapter with their first Jamboree on Friday April 30, from 2-5PM at Cantina La Salina . To kick off the new chapter and new BAHS Jamboree our special guest will be MIGUEL KORSA multi-instrumentalist blues artist from Mexico City and band member of Mexico's top blues band Real de Catorce. Fresh Chicken and Vegetables to the La Salina Families

In La Mision / La Salina this week the Blues Against Hunger Society was able to provide 40 pounds of fresh chicken and 80 pounds of fresh vegetables to the distribution of food pantries to 50 families  by Helping Hands and La Mision C hildren  Fund. On April 30, 2021 BAHS will kick off the Spring / Summer Jamborees  at La Salina Hotel and Cantina in La Salina. The Jamborees will be hosted by the newly formed La Mision BAHS Chapter and all the food donations and proceeds will go to Helping Hands and the La Msion Childrens Fund - Your donations stay in your community!  www.bahsociety.com/donate Help BAHS continue feeding families weekly in la Mision and La Salina, you can  make a regular  donation - $2.00/month feeds a family all year! Or  drop of non-perishable food donations inside the La Salina Cantina KM 74 and at the  Puerto del Valle, KM 62.5. Look for the Big Blues Barrels! 

Debut Single Release by BAHS Host Band Sweet Sixx!

Sweet and Sixx Pack are the founders of BAHS and have been the house band since 2013. On April 10, their band Sweet Sixx, which consists of Sixx Pack, Sweet Pack and Miguel Korsa . Sweet Sixx will be releasing their debut track "Those Old Blue Jeans" . The song is the first off their forthcoming album, a gypsy blues sound; blues with a little Latin and world influences. Come One Come All - Two More Sunday Jamborees in San Felipe!

After a stellar year of raising food, even during the pandemic, San Felipe raised more than 26,000 pounds of food and the majority of it was raised without the ability to have a Jamboree. GO TEAM! Now with the vaccinations and lighter restrictions, opportunities for more Jamborees in San Felipe! The BAHS San Felipe Chapter has had 3 Jamborees and raised more than 2200 pounds, and even more pounds coming from in raffles and donations for fresh chicken and vegetables. Only two more BAHS Jamborees this season in San Felipe, so be sure to join us on Sunday April 11th, and April 18th from 1PM to 4PM at La Palapa Bar & Grill in El Dorado Ranch on La Ventana del Mar Golf Resort. All the food and proceeds raised stay in San Felipe and support several charitable organizations. The BAJA BLUES TOUR is Expanding!

  The Most Amazing Blues Tour - THE BAJA BLUES TOUR  are expanding the Baja Blues Tour to every month this coming season; November 2021 - March 2022. Each adventure is a 16-day magical music blues tour, experiencing the entire Baja Mexico peninsula including all missions, whales, natural wonders and beautiful accommodations. In addition to sight seeing, you will be special guests at all Blues Against Hunger Society Jamboree concerts in each city (8+ concerts), which are a super blast!  We have been doing the tour each year since 2015, this year we have had too many requests to accommodate everyone (some towns are small, and some hotels are boutique and we have reached capacity in many the last couple years). This year we have decided to break it down into 5 tours - one tour per month during the prime time.
