San Felipe BAHS Chapter Exceeded Their Monthly Goal

The San Felipe Chapter is reach their goals at every corner. This month only 7 weeks into the year, they beat their goal by 2 pounds and reached 3002 pounds, raised. They have a great team of people making a difference together. Find out more about the chapter and how you can join thjeir team. 

San Felipe Raised 3002 Pounds of Food Ending February

3002 POUNDS AND COUNTING San Felipe Blues Against Hunger is really setting the bar for everyone this year. In 2019 they became their own BAHS Chapter and established their own board of directors to lead the chapter in their specific goals of ending hunger with Blues. Under the leadership of Chapter Director, they have raised 3002 pounds of food ending in February. This brings the BAHS 2020 total to 8482 pounds . The chapter is very excited about March and their final month of April if they keep up the pace they are going to reach more than 6000 pounds by the end of their season, which will start again this November giving them 2 additional months to raise their total. In March the SF BAHS Chapter will be hosting Michele Lundeen, Sweet Sixx and Bobby Tee and Company for a Blues Weekend Blue Blowout Jamboree Sunday, March 22, following the San Felipe Blues & Arts Festival.  The BAHS San Felipe Jamboree is hosted by Bobby Tee and Company, the only blues band in San Fel...

BAHS is On the Road and On the Move - Tijuana to Corona to Yuma and Back!

Good to be home. It was a long, extended weekend for Blues Against Hunger Society and it started with picking up our drummer Humberto in Tijuana and then driving to Corona on an invitation to jam with our friend Martin F Tramil  ( read about Martin F. Tramil ). We enjoyed the event and it was great to see BAHS friends of friends there from outside the area. San Felipe Directors Charlie and Karen Martin 's friends Gene and his wife Becky, and Antoinette, who came in sporting a BAHS Blues shirt from Rosarito Beach - very cool. The jam was at Rockefellas with Coldwater Blues Club and a stage full of local favorites, thanks to hosts Trisha and Graham. BAHS had a display and an area for donations and collected for Hope Food Pantry (read about Hope Pantry) , which Martin graciously delivered. Thanks to that, we were able to drive back to Tijuana, dropped off Humberto at the border and then continue driving to Yuma. We crashed landed at mom and dad's casita around 2:30AM. ...
