January 1 - February 16, 2020 It is very inspiring to know what can be done when we put our minds, and music together; we can move mountains. We are on our way to the biggest year to date and we are only in the first 6-weeks. In 2019, we raised 26,574 pounds of food at our BAHS events. This year we have already raised 7,738 pounds of food. If we stay at our current rate of donations we can reach 70,000 pounds. We are confident that with the additional BAHS Chapters and Jamborees we can exceed 100,000 pounds. Baja Blues February 11, 2020, San Felipe at San Felipe Brewing - Sweet Sixx & The Wild Pack (and Bobby Tee) at San Felipe Brewing Co. GREAT turnout. It was Sweet Sixx's blues fusion of classics, rock, swing, jazz, and Latin. And they played my favorites "Born Under a Bad Sign" and "Hoochie Coochie Man". San Felipe is now at 6 weeks for the season and has already raised 2358 pounds of food. Submitted by By Tom Gorman

Dear all BAHS Members - GREAT NEWS! THE  BLUES AGAINST HUNGER SOCIETY is now a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization with TAX-EXEMPT status. Our Arizona Statutory Agent Lola Scamahorm just messaged that the letter arrived. We will have a copy of it later today - TIME TO CELEBRATE and take this organization to the next level and eliminate hunger where the BAHS team shares the BLUES. SO EXCITING!

FROM ACIFAC (San Felipe BC) - Our thanks to "Blues Against Hunger Society" for their excellence and tireless help to our "Hoy Si Comí" program and thanks to all the beautiful people who attend each event bringing food to help us. ACIFAC  - The community center is in Los Arcos built by a church group from Pincher Creek Alberta. Our mission is to help the local community of San Felipe by providing a place of refuge, feeding the needy, and protecting the children.  We feed about 150 children each school day. 

BAHS is giving to HOPE (Helping Our People in Elsinore) Food Pantry  on SUNDAY Feb. 23, 2020 at Rockafellas Rock 'n Roll Bar in Corona CA. The BAHS Jamboree is hosted by Coldwater Blues Club - The food drive Jamboree starts at 3;00PM with special guests Martin F. Tramil and Sweet Sixx Trio. This is FREE to the public, first come first serve seating.Please bring a non-perishable food donation to help those in need and be ready for a rockin' good time. All Food Donations will benefit the HOPE Food Pantry in Lake Elsinore. A little about  HOPE Food Pantry In 1990 a group of churches in Lake Elsinore banded together to do just this and formed HOPE (Helping Our People in Elsinore). HOPE has been meeting needs in our community ever since!  HOPE became a ministry of The Dream Center in 2017. MUCHAS GRACIAS SAN FELIPE! In just 6 weeks of Blues Against Hunger Society Jamboree's, you have raised 2358 pounds of food. According to BAHS Chapter Director Charlie Martin yesterday you raised 182 lbs of donated non-perishables, 160 lbs of fresh chicken and 20 lbs of fresh veggies.
