Hunger makes no exceptions, it doesn’t care if you’re a struggling family, a retiree on a fixed income, or a young person trying to get started in life. Hunger can happen to anyone.  BAHS intends to also make no exceptions, we will work side-by-side with the organizations with boots on the ground to help ensure the hungry are fed - no exceptions.   Unfortunately, today there is a disproportionate number of people that are only a pink slip, fender bender, or doctor's visit away from not being able to feed themselves or their families. This was the reality before Covid-19, now the need is greater.  The Blues Against Hunger Society works with many community partner organizations to support Baja California, Mexico, and our neighboring communities and chapters . BAHS Director for Mexico City Miguel Korsa will be performing at the Obregón Sonora Blues Fest. The festival is from Feb 10-13 and features a truly international lineup of blues based artists. During the 3-day festival of live music BAHS will have a commercial sharing our mission. (see lineup below) The promoter is Dr. Sergio Muñoz Andrade, musician from Obregón Blues Band, says [translated from Spanish] in the Obregón Blues Fest magazine, "With a love for music, in particular for blues and close genres, plus the firm intention of generating actions concrete to cultivate friendship between artists from different latitudes". The Obregón Sonora Blues Fest will be broadcast to you in the comfort of your home. We encourage everyone to check it out.
